Columbia Local Park

SCOPE:
Kim Engineering provided surveying, geotechnical, and civil engineering services to support the renovation of Columbia Local Park. The project focused on revitalizing underutilized areas while adhering to strict environmental requirements due to its location within the Upper Paint Branch Special Protection Area. Scope of work included boundary, topographic, and utility surveys; geotechnical investigation; and full civil design for new recreational amenities such as dog parks, pickleball courts, and gathering spaces. Stormwater management and sediment control plans were developed to meet permitting requirements and ensure minimal environmental impact.
